Introduction
INGENIO is the business incubator for technology-based companies of the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU). It supports entreprises with a high degree of innovation and potential, in stages pf commercialization or scalability, and turns them into consolidated and scalable companies.
It was founded on June 26, 2001, within the framework of the agreement signed by LATU and IDB-MIF, which purpose was to create an incubator for technology-based companies. Being the first business incubator in the country, it has incubated more than 150 projects and generated more than 60 new companies since its foundation.
INGENIO is the leader of Uruguay’s entrepreneurial ecosystem development, working alongside various actors that comprise it.
The following Terms and Conditions regulate the use of the INGENIO portal service and of the services offered through it, which is available to Users.
Conditions of Access and Use
The use of the portal is free of charge for users, who undertake to use it in accordance with current national regulations, good customs and public order, committing in all cases not to cause damage to INGENIO, other users or third parties.
In their view, users will refrain from using the portal and the services offered by INGENIO for illegal purposes or effects, which are prohibited under these Terms, in technical or legal regulations, being harmful to the rights and interests of INGENIO, other users or third parties, or that in any way may damage, disable, overload, deteriorate or impede its normal use, as well as any computer equipment belonging to INGENIO, other users or third parties.
Users Obligations
Users MUST NOT: • Damage, disable or spoil the computer systems, nor the contents incorporated and/or stored in them. • Modify said systems in any way and, consequently, use versions of modified systems in order to obtain unauthorized access to any content and/or service. • Interfere or interrupt the access and use of the systems, servers or networks, or fail to comply with the requirements, procedures and regulations of the network connection policy.
INGENIO may act by the means it deems pertinent and appropriate, against any use that opposes these general Terms of Use and/or the particular ones of each service, infringes or violates intellectual property rights, as well as any other right of INGENIO, of other users or third parties.
INGENIO reserves the right to modify, at any time and without prior notice, the presentation, configuration, contents and functionalities of the portal, and services, being able to interrupt, disable and/or cancel any of the contents and/or services presented, integrated or incorporated, without stating cause and without responsibility.
Data Protection
When a user submits personal data, INGENIO will understand that they are authorized to process it for the management, administration, and monitoring of their tasks. In its merit, such data will be treated in accordance with Law No. 18,331, of August 11, 2008, on Personal Data Protection and Habeas Data Action and Decree No. 414/2009, of August 21, 2009, and as established in your privacy policy. They may be shared with public entities or third parties, solely and exclusively when the achievement of purpose pursued by the user requires so or with their consent.
Cookies
INGENIO may use cookies when the user browses the portal, but the user can configure his browser to be notified of the cookies reception and prevent their installation on the hard drive, if deemed appropriate.
INGENIO uses its own cookies and those of third parties on its websites. Cookies make browsing easier and in many cases are essential for some of the services offered by the sites to be available.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files received on your computer from the visited website, which are used to record certain browsing interactions. These files are stored on the user’s computer and contain anonymous data that can be updated and retrieved in the future and is not harmful to the computer. They are used to remember the user’s preferences, thus improving their browsing experience. Cookies may also be used to collect anonymous information regarding how a visitor navigates a website. For instance, which web page you have accessed from or if you have reached the websites from online advertisements.
Why does INGENIO use cookies?
INGENIO uses or may use cookies to determine and identify recurring visitors, type of content and sites with which a user engages, the length of time each user spends in a particular area of the websites, and the specific features that users choose, among other data. To the extent that cookie data constitutes personally identifiable information, INGENIO only processes said data on the basis of user consent.
What happens if the user does not authorize the use of cookies?
If, on the one hand, the user continues browsing the INGENIO website without expressly rejecting the privacy policy, specifically its section on the use of cookies, it will be understood that they have tacitly accepted their use.
If, on the other hand, the visitor rejects or deletes the browsing cookies, it will not be possible to maintain their preferences on the INGENIO website; some features may not be operational, some personalized services will not be offered and they will ask your authorization for the use of cookies each time you access any of its websites.
