Introduction
INGENIO is LATU’s first business incubator. Born from a cooperation agreement between the IDB-MIF and LATU, its purpose was the creation of a business incubator of technology-based companies.

Since its foundation, INGENIO has incubated nearly 200 startups. Throughout the years, it has collaborated—directly or indirectly—in the organization of different activities that promote an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Uruguay.

Using the services offered by INGENIO implies having read this general Privacy Policy, as well as the Terms of Use, and consenting to LATU/INGENIO integrating personal information into its databases and processing it in accordance with the defined purposes.

Data Processing
INGENIO’s processing of personal data for the management, administration, monitoring and improvement of the services it offers, is carried out in accordance with Law No. 18 331, of August 11th, 2008, on the Protection of Personal Data and Action of Habeas Data and Decree No. 414/2009, of August 31st, 2009.


The personal data collected within the framework of access and use of services will be subject to automated processing and incorporated into a database owned by LATU, with address at Av. Italia 6201, Montevideo, registered with Uruguay’s Regulation and Control Unit of Personal Data.


The personal data provided by users within the framework of the use of the services will be hosted on servers located in national territory, as well as servers located in countries of the European Union considered to have adequate standards for data protection.


Services
INGENIO provides incubation, counsel and training services to entrepreneurs in its different modalities (face-to-face or online) depending on the activity (talks, workshops, trainings, etc.)


In order to provide these services in the best possible way, the contact and information request forms on the INGENIO website are designed as a means of providing assistance to those who are interested in the services offered by INGENIO and aim to facilitate communication and information exchange between the interested parties and INGENIO.


The data will be kept for the purpose of receiving and responding to queries and related purposes, as well as obtaining statistical data from them. The personal data of users who register on the website through forms will be used for the fulfillment of the purposes indicated in each of them. INGENIO will process the categories of data indicated for the following purposes:


• Maintaining contact as a user: we process personal data in order to manage our relationship with the user and to answer questions or doubts. The basis that legitimizes us to treat your data for this purpose will be your consent, which you will have given us when you provide with your data through the medium in question (web form, telephone, social network, etc.)
• Developing the incubator-postulate relationship: we process the data to formalize and maintain the relationship that unites us with the entrepreneurs and, in particular, for the processing of those services that they have requested.
• Managing of our website: they will be used in order to provide a better service and facilitate the use of the websites through the analysis of the number and frequency of visits, as well as for other purposes that are duly informed to the users.
• Dissemination and publication of our activity: we publish images captured during the celebration of the organized events. We do so on the basis of INGENIO’s legitimate interest in disseminating said activity, in view of which it is worth highlighting the right to object that is recognized by current regulations on data protection. Therefore, if you do not want a picture that we have published to continue reflecting your image, contact us to request its removal and we will manage the request to prevent you from being identified in that publication.


Purpose
The personal data collected within the framework of the use of the services will be processed for the purpose of administrating, managing, monitoring and improving the services offered by INGENIO.


Security, Confidentiality and Communication
INGENIO undertakes to keep confidentiality regarding the data provided and accessed, unless it is requested by a competent authority or if it is legally obliged to disclose it. Its officials are bound by the confidentiality of the information they access, in accordance with the Institution’s current Code of Ethics, Law No. 17 060, Decree No. 30/003 and article 11 of Law No. 18,331.


INGENIO will take all necessary security measures to avoid adulteration, loss, consultation or unauthorized processing of the information in its capacity as administrator responsible for processing.


The data provided will not be shared with third parties, with the exception of public entities or third parties, solely and exclusively when the achievement of the purpose pursued by the user requires it or with their consent.


Rights of Data Subjects
INGENIO guarantees users (information holders) the exercise of their rights of access, rectification, updating, inclusion or deletion of personal data, by sending an email to informe@INGENIO.org.uy or by contacting the offices located at Av. Italy 6201 Los Naranjos Building, Montevideo. Until said statement is received, the processing of all registered data will be considered legitimate.


Data Preservation
The personal data will be processed by INGENIO to fulfill the aforementioned purpose. Subsequently, they will be eliminated or blocked, to be accessed only in the cases provided by the applicable regulations, for the time necessary to meet legal requirements or comply with the custody of public information, as according to its case.


Obligations on the Veracity of the Information
All information provided by the user must be true and verifiable. For such purposes, the user guarantees the authenticity of all the data provided and undertakes to update it, being responsible for all damages arising from any inaccuracy, whether suffered by the user, LATU or third parties.


Updates to the Privacy Policy
LATU reserves the right to make any changes and/or corrections to this general Privacy Policy without requiring notice or any requirements. It is the users’ responsibility to refer to these documents from time to time to check for subsequent updates.


Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
This general Privacy Policy is governed, without exception and in all its clauses, by the laws of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay and will be interpreted in accordance with them. Any dispute arising from this document regarding its existence, validity, interpretation, scope or compliance will be submitted to the courts of Montevideo, expressly renouncing any other jurisdiction or jurisdiction.
